Smart Meters on Prepayment

Sorry, but we cannot currently operate a SMART meter in prepayment mode. Therefore, if you switch to us and you have a smart meter in prepayment mode, your meter will change and function as a standard credit meter. Your old supplier will need to make this change.

Following the change, you will lose some functionality, such as:

  • You will have to sign up to one of our credit tariffs – the default payment method for these tariffs is Direct Debit
  • You will need to provide meter reading(s) via your online account. Or by calling or emailing our friendly customer services team.
  • Your in-home display unit may stop working or lose some functionality.
