What happens to my balance when I switch energy suppliers?

Whether your balance is in credit to your old provider, or you have a debit balance you will receive a final bill to tell you how much it is.

Your old supplier won’t issue a final bill until your switch has taken place. It can still take up to six weeks after the switch for the bill to be submitted. Unfortunately, some suppliers are slower than others.
