Please be aware that currently, we don’t support smart meters for business premises. So, we will treat smart meters as if they were traditional non-smart meters.
This means that customers with a smart meter installed, when switching to Green Network Energy, will lose some smart meter functionality. For this reason, you will need to provide your meter reading(s) by calling or emailing our customer care team.
We’re committed to helping the government achieve their target of installing smart meters by 2020.
However, our intention is to provide the best service to our customers and part of that is investing in the right technology based on the information available. We don’t believe that installing the currently available SMETS1 smart meters is consistent with that approach for the time being.
We will contact our customers with updates and news if our Smart Meter strategy changes, providing plenty of notice.
